A Story of Passion, Land, and Tradition

Oro del Gattopardo is much more than a brand: it is a small family-run olive oil company rooted in the vibrant heart of Sicily. Our reality was born in Montevago, in the province of Agrigento, in a territory where olive oil is not just a product, but a precious asset handed down from generation to generation, always celebrated as our “green gold”.

Our Territory: Between History and Nature

Our olive groves enjoy a privileged position, located between the municipalities of Montevago and Santa Margherita di Belice, about 400 meters above sea level. Here, at the meeting point of the provinces of Palermo, Trapani, and Agrigento, the land is touched by the rivers Belìce, Senore, and Carboj.

It is a unique landscape, characterized by typical Mediterranean red soils and a particular microclimate that, in perfect synergy, offers optimal conditions for olive cultivation. It is in this land, which inspired the words of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, that we are born and grow every day.

Just like the author of The Leopard, we like to think that our roots are embedded in the same soil, breathe the same air, and are driven by the same dedication and passion for our magnificent island.

Donna Elaia: Excellence in a Bottle

The fruit of our labor is the extra virgin olive oil Donna Elaia, a refined blend of two emblematic Sicilian cultivars: Nocellara del Belice and Biancolilla.

Our philosophy is based on absolute quality:

• Early harvest: We harvest the olives between October and November when they are still green, to ensure very low acidity.

• Cold pressing: A process that preserves all organoleptic properties and aromas intact.

• Sensory profile: An oil with an intense yellow-green color and golden reflections, which reveals fragrances of almond, aromatic herbs, green tomato, and notes of fresh olive on the palate.
